Describing a strategy so AI gets it right
An AI assistant writes exactly the EA you describe. If the description is vague, it fills the gaps with guesses, and guesses are hard to test. The fix is not more words. It is the right words, in the right order.
Name the market precisely
"Gold" is not a symbol. Open MT5's Market Watch and copy the exact name your broker uses, suffix included, along with the chart timeframe. EURUSD on M5 and EURUSD.m on M5 are different instructions.
Write entries you could check by eye
"Buy when the trend is up" cannot be tested. "Buy when the 50-period moving average is above the 200-period one and price closes above the 50" can. If you could not tick it off on a chart, the EA cannot either.
Decide the exits before the entries
Where is the stop loss, in points or as a multiple of ATR? Where is the target? When does a trade close if neither is hit? An OBSIRYN EA never trades without a hard stop, so it has to be defined.
Say what it must never do
Risk per trade, the maximum number of open trades, a daily loss limit, the hours it may trade and whether to avoid major news. These limits keep a small mistake small.
